Welcome to The Layout #74. The Substack about design that makes life a little easier with fun insights and key resources for you to level up. It’s been an eventful week but let’s get to it. Also, you can notice the poster up top that I created.
Hope
In dark times, hope is the light that keeps us going. Bodies tire from daily strife and work. It can all seem barren and pointless from an outsider perspective and the logical thing to take is to give into despair, embrace the darkness and the void. Hope acts as the light in our lives. It gives us the base on which we build great things and embrace life's opportunities as they come. Hope sometimes dies in us, life's problems can darken our inner lives which make us oblivious to it even when it's all around us. Hope is maintained by absolute focus on what we want despite the challenges we face every single day. It usually requires digging into the deepest regions of our mind and leveraging on things that we can control and what we can be thankful for i.e. family, friends etc. This is not easy but it is eventually worthwhile because to hope is to live and without hope, what is there to seek.
