Welcome to The Layout #6. This week has been a little hectic but no complaints. It’s part of the human cycle after all. Embracing, learning and adapting to it is one of the key elements that make our existence unique. So shall we!
Fighting The Blank Page.
Sometimes you can't come up with an idea throughout the whole day. Your mind shivers when you see the blank page, it creates a sense of dread which can also lead to procrastination and apathy.
The obvious solution is just to commit an action i.e. just write a few lines or draw something to get the energy going. This is good advice but an additional point i could add is this, Be Good At Your Fundamentals.
Want to be a great and consistent writer, you have to understand sentence structure and punctuation, how to communicate emotions to people, description of events with a certain panache etc. Being good at your fundamentals is the key
to avoiding blank-page dread. Even when there are days when you don't feel up it, practising your fundamentals still keeps you sharp and prepared for the next day.
Being High Energy.
We all know those people around us who are always brimming with energy and life. It feels exhilirating just being close to them because they lift the energy of the room. These are high-energy people and it is vital that we try to be high-energy even when it everything looks dull and life-sucking.
Tips on being high-energy. Well, I could say exercise, a good diet, endurance training etc. Internally, we also have to cultivate or self-talk our way to being the person to lift the energy in a room or location. This doesn't come in one day but it comes overtime through consistency and practice.

New Website Alert.
A new website just launched and the design just blows my mind. The website is vizible.africa. I mean just check out the homepage.
The colours, the typography, the patterns and the illustrations just create a compelling visual interface for people to interact with. Top marks to the team who worked on this. It also includes a quiz you can take which will generate a visual personality archetype based on your responses. Pretty neat if you ask me. Check it out here and post it on your social media platforms.
