Welcome to The Layout #69. The substack about design that makes life a little easier with fun insights and key resources for you to use.
It's the little things
Movement is as integral as the cell is to the body. This can be observed at a smaller scale when water is being boiled and the atoms jigger excitedly. The movement seems erratic and random but this movement Is what creates heat and steam. This rapid movement occurs when outside pressure and heat are applied. Observing this type of movement is just a small example of viewing the tiny details that makeup life and the conditions that are needed for growth. It seems small and chaotic, but life would be very predictable without those random movements. Let's learn from the little things that we can observe and try to infuse those lessons into our lives
Get lost in the moment
Felt it before? The stirring moment when everything feels in sync, the work becomes easy, time seems to slow down, and everything you do, just flows. This moment occurs when there is a steady adaptation to work that seems difficult initially but gets easier as time to go by. Then when you get lost in that process, your mind gets into this zone that allows you to become one with the tool you use to execute. A surreal moment but one that makes difficult things easier and fun. Just remember to get lost in it.
