Something wrong will always happen.
Mistakes will always be made when trying something new. It could be something that is so left field from what we usually do and when trying to enter this new and mysterious section of our human landscape, mistakes are inevitable. Learning from these mistakes are vital for adaptation and learning which will make future transitions easier and more fulfilling. The mindset to have when creating something new is that something wrong will always happen even with all the proper precautions taken. It is part of the human experience and we will do well to always understand that.
Nobody notices much.
Being self-aware is an essential trait to have but sometimes it can be limiting to our future aspirations. There are circumstances where caution needs to be thrown to the wind and a risk has to be taken irrespective of other people views. A phenomenon called the spotlight effect tends to make us cautious over the actions we take because of the perceived visibility of a spotlight upon us but this is just in our head. Understanding this gives us this freedom to make those plays that can take us to a higher level. To try something small, try wearing something a little bit unusual and check whether people actually notice or just ignore you.
