Learn to live without the juice.
You gotta learn to live without the juice. This means sometimes you have to embrace the boring parts of life and what it brings. You are probably thinking well I love my job and all its parts so this advice isn't for me. This advice is especially tailor-made for you. In a sense, we like intensive and high projects that give us a sense of thrill and because of this, we tend to ignore experiences that don't give that same sense of thrill but are vital for character and skill development. This could mean little things like hanging with your family or doing repetitive design work. Such moments are not that fulfilling sometimes and feel like drudgery. These moments though slow give unique perspectives and history shows us that great ideas and satisfaction come from these. Learning to slow down to appreciate some experiences that are not as fast-paced is an essential skill we all need to get to avoid pain and future regret that we might not foresee.
New Perspectives are good but don't lose the foundations.
There are a lot of design perspectives and I mean a lot. This is a good thing no qualms about that but sometimes we can get too attached to certain design perspectives that they struggle to change or adapt to new concepts or situations. The key is to not lose our design foundations. This could mean Typography, Colour, etc. Our foundations should be solid before getting attached to certain design styles which gives a solid footing and flexibility to try other styles that fit our design personality. an essential skill for designers to have in this coming century because we are bombarded with different styles. Take a deep breath(That's right do this now) and relax. You got this
